Golden hour over Gran Vía
From the Lumen Rooftop, the dome of the Metrópolis Building glows with the last of the sun and the façades of Gran Vía change colour minute by minute. In summer, sunset comes after 9:30 pm; in winter, around 6 pm. Go up half an hour early to get a spot by the railing.
Our cocktail menu
Signature cocktails inspired by Madrid, wines by the glass from the region and sharing plates. The favourites: the Metrópolis Spritz, with white Madrid vermouth, and the Lumen Old Fashioned, smoked with holm oak. On Thursdays and Fridays, mellow DJ sets from 8 pm.
House recipe: Metrópolis Spritz
- 60 ml white vermouth
- 30 ml elderflower liqueur
- Plenty of ice and 90 ml brut cava
- An orange peel for aroma
Serve in a balloon glass, stir gently and finish with the orange peel. It tastes better with a view, but it works at home too.
And in season, the pool
From May to October, the heated rooftop pool is open from 10 am to 8 pm for guests. A late-afternoon swim followed by a sunset cocktail: that is how a perfect day in Madrid ends.
